Info and Photo Welcome to the Yellow Lodge, situated in the vibrant university town of Stellenbosch and centre of the famous winelands! Excellent German hospitality awaits you in our 3-Star Guesthouse. Located in a maple-lined street in historical Stellenbosch, the Yellow Lodge features eight beautiful rooms and an apartment. Formerly a pastor’s home, our lovingly restored National Heritage building invites you to relax in one of our spacious en-suite rooms. Each room is individually furnished in a tasteful contemporary style, with ample packing space and designer seating. All bathrooms are provided with bath tubs and overhead showers. In the cooler months of the Green Season (Jun-Sep), we have under floor heating for your comfort. In your room you will find a mini bar, a TV with 4 South African channels and the M-Net Movie Channel, in English. On request coffee or tea facilities are available in the room for the duration of your stay. The ground-floor rooms have small terraces, and all rooms offer self-dial phones and internet jacks. The Yellow Lodge’s garden is an oasis. Several fountains, a small swimming pool and beautifully landscaped, shady areas where cool beverages or coffee and tea are gladly served, will soothe you at the end of a long day of sightseeing. The Lodge also provides spacious, guarded parking. For added security, the Guesthouse has a surrounding wall and central alarm system. The well known Dorp Street and city centre with its various architectural and other attractions and shops is only a few minutes walk from the quiet Yellow Lodge. Golf For the avid golfer, the immediate vicinity offers five beautiful and challenging courses. Twelve more courses are within 15 driving minutes from Yellow Lodge, for example Erinvale at Somerset West. We will gladly reserve tee-off times for you and take care of your other golfing needs. Wine For wine-lovers, the Yellow Lodge is the perfect base for a leisurely wine tasting tour on the Stellenbosch wine route, or similar wine routes such as Paarl etc. The wineries of the wine farms around Stellenbosch are among the oldest in South Africa accommodation. Stellenbosch`s nickname "Eikestad" (Oak Town) refers to the wood the area supplies for making traditional wine casks. Your concierge at the Yellow Lodge will be happy to arrange for taxi service or a private driver if you would prefer to go on a more carefree wine tasting tour of the best the winelands have to offer without your own car rental! Grading 3-Star Guesthouse accommodation (National Grading). AA Highly Recommended.
