This traditional African self-catering reserve with its dining boma and 24 thatched rondavels looks up at the sweep of Ubizane Mountain. Winter - the temperature varies from night to day. Daytime temperatures are mild normally about 25 degrees C. Night time temperatures are considerably colder dropping to below 19 degrees C. What to take December to March: Summer Clothes. A warm jacket or jersey for the cooler mornings and evenings. April to November, winter clothes. A very warm insulated Jacket for the cold morning and nights. Hats, scarf and gloves are recommended. Comfortable walking shoes track shoes or boots are useful for the bush walks. Sandals are useful for walking around the lodge. Shorts and t-shirt needed all year round for the warm midday period. Swimming costume, sun block, insect repellent, sun hat, sunglasses and lip balm are recommended.
