Zululand Safari Lodge, situated in the heart of Zululand, is only a 2 hour northbound drive from Durban, and is perfect for families and conference groups. This traditional African self-catering reserve with its dining boma and 24 thatched rondavels looks up at the sweep of Ubizane Mountain. The 1500 hectare Reserve, which is adjacent to the world renowned Hluhluwe and Umfolozi Game Reserve, boasts over 350 species of bird life as well as a variety of game including rhino, giraffe, wildebeest and many antelope species

Climate
Summer - the temperature varies from 25 degrees at night to 35 degrees C in the heat of the day with high humidity factor.
Winter - the temperature varies from night to day. Daytime temperatures are mild normally about 25 degrees C. Night time temperatures are considerably colder dropping to below 19 degrees C.

What to take
December to March: Summer Clothes. A warm jacket or jersey for the cooler mornings and evenings. April to November, winter clothes. A very warm insulated Jacket for the cold morning and nights. Hats, scarf and gloves are recommended.
Comfortable walking shoes track shoes or boots are useful for the bush walks. Sandals are useful for walking around the lodge. Shorts and t-shirt needed all year round for the warm midday period.

Swimming costume, sun block, insect repellent, sun hat, sunglasses and lip balm are recommended.
